Best Series and Best T.V. Show

ABOUT THE SHOW

THREE FRIENDS. SATURDAYS.

"The Kingfish" is a T.V. series pilot about the Saturday adventures and exploits of three savvy, smart, Philadelphia high-school friends: Bobby, Flip, and X; and, yes, every episode takes place on a Saturday.

Expect to be surprised

The series is not what it appears to be on the surface: the usual "three friends get into trouble amid the violence of the inner city." On the contrary. "The Kingfish" is unpredictable and uses viewers' inherent prejudices and stereotypes to lead you to a series of unexpected and  outcomes. Oh, and there is no sex, drugs, profanity, and no "One last big score" plot theme. Go figure.

THE LEAD CHARACTERS (THE TRIO)

Bobby

Bobby is the mature, reasonable, suave friend who has "the gift of gab"; he can talk himself out of (or into) any situation. All three of the friends are very smart.

Flip

Flip--so called because, as a kid, he would "flip" through and read the pages of every book in the house--is a bona fide genius, but he is not a nerd. He is a typical, cool high-school teenager who happens to be brilliant.

X

X is the popular, savvy, in-the-know member of the group who always seem to land on his feet. He is the luckiest guy you will ever meet.
